Therapeutic Aromatherapy Certification Program is offered in 3 Levels and really gives the student a strong foundation in training as an aromatherapist. The program is also authorized for Continuing Education for Nurses and Massage Therapists in Massachusetts and Licensed Mental Health Professionals in MA and RI.
This program is for anyone who has any interest in looking to learn and work safely with essential oils. The classes are not designed to “sell” oils or “market” oils. It is strictly an educational program that will teach you to blend and understand how to use essential oils in your life.

About Your Instructor - Jessica Kozak Shaw
Rev. Jessica Kozak Shaw is the founder and owner of The Soul Purpose ® , LLC since she opened it in 2005. She is a Multidimensional Mystic and Master-Healer and works as a Master Healer & Teacher, Intuitive Spiritual Guide and Channel. Jessica has degrees in Management Science, Metaphysical Counseling, and Clinical Psychology with a focus in counseling. Jessica is an ordained minister/director of the Universal Brotherhood Movement since 2005 and also an interfaith minister of the Metaphysical Universal Ministry through their extensive study/training program since 2012. She has studied Toltec Shamanism and her Reiki Training goes back to the year 1999 . She is a Master Teacher of Usui, Holy Fire III Karuna, and Lightarian Reiki Lineages. Jessica trained as an Energy Medicine Practitioner and graduated from a 3-year Energy Medicine Institute. She now has a Healer Training Program she developed and is the founder of the Birch Tree Interfaith Ministry and also the Co-Founder of Cosmic Heart Reiki ® .
CLASSES/MODULES
Introduction to Therapeutic Aromatherapy
Module I
This class starts with the basics and background of aromatherapy and takes you through today’s essential oil market and how they are commonly being used today. You will learn how essential oils interact with the body, how they may be able to help clients/patients and how to use practice aromatherapy safely. You will study 23 essential s and work with some of them in a workshop. The class also covers simple essential oil solutions to common medical and mental health problems.
Intermediate Therapeutic Aromatherapy
Module II
In the second class of the certification series you will take a deeper look at the science behind essential oils and how they interact with the human body. You will study using aromatherapy during the different life stages and how to use them for healthier living. You will then study working with patients/clients in a case study format. More oils will be reviewed.
Advanced Therapeutic Aromatherapy
Module III
In the final class of the series, the class will review real life case studies that the students bring in. This in-depth review of the practical application of aromatherapy will give the students the “real life exposure” they need to have confidence in their knowledge. Also reviewed is the steps needed to begin a safe aromatherapy program in a therapeutic environment.
Continuing Education Credits
NURSES
The three module programs are in compliance with MA Continuing Education requirements for nurses in accordance with 244 CMR.
